Scope of application

IDM1L and IDM8L plastic case earth leakage circuit breakers are a new type of circuit breaker developed by the company using leading CAD/CAM/CAE design and manufacturing technology. With rated insulation voltage of 800V, they are suitable for infrequent switching and infrequent starting of motors in circuits with AC 50Hz, rated working voltage of AC400V and rated current to 800A. The circuit breaker has overload, short-circuit and ⽋-voltage protection functions, which can protect lines and power supply equipment from damage, as well as provide indirect contact protection for people and protection against fire hazards caused by long-lasting ground faults that cannot be detected by overcurrent protection. When other protection devices fail, the circuit breaker with a rated residual action current of 30mA can provide additional protection against direct contact.

The circuit breaker is characterized by small size, high interruption, short working arc, and vibration resistance.

The circuit breaker can be installed vertically (i.e. vertical installation) or horizontally (i.e. horizontal installation).

◆The circuit breaker can not be inverted into the line, that is, only 1, 3, 5 allowed to connect to the power line, 2, 4, 6 connected to the load line.

Applicable working environment and installation conditions

◆The temperature of the surrounding medium is not higher than +40℃ and not lower than -5℃; and the 24-hour average does not exceed 35℃ (except for special orders).

◆The relative humidity at the installation site is not more than 50% at the maximum temperature of +40℃; there can be high relative humidity at lower temperatures, such as 90% at 20℃, and special measures should be taken for the occasional condensation due to temperature changes.

◆The relative humidity of air of humid and hot belt type circuit breaker does not exceed 95% at +25℃.

◆The pollution level is Ⅲ.

◆The installation category of the main circuit of the circuit breaker is Ⅲ, and the installation category of the auxiliary circuit and control circuit not connected to the main circuit is Ⅱ.

◆The circuit breaker is suitable for use in electromagnetic environment A.

◆The circuit breakers in the humid heat zone can withstand the effects of humidity, heat, salt spray and mold.

◆The circuit breaker should be installed in a place where there is no danger of explosion and no conductive dust, no corrosion of metals and no damage to insulation.

Note: 1. This series of three-pole circuit breakers connected to a three-phase load, the load can not take the neutral line, including the load control circuit power supply from the load end of the circuit breaker can not take the neutral line, otherwise the circuit breaker will create a false action;. 

2. When this series of three-pole and four-pole circuit breakers are used as single-phase loads, the incoming and outgoing phase lines are connected to the A pole and the neutral line is connected to the C pole, not to the B pole.

According to the needs of the user circuit breaker accessories can be directly lead out (wire length of 50cm, special requirements when ordering instructions), or add terminal.

Note: When the rated control power supply voltage is DC24V, there are two solutions. Scheme 1: DC24V shunt-excitation decoupler is used, but the following conditions should be satisfied. The maximum length of copper wire (each of the two wires) shall meet the conditions in the following table, and the power supply at the terminal of the derailer shall meet the minimum 50W requirement.
