The parameter-adjustable
 voltage stabilizer is suitable for departments with special 
requirements for reliability and anti-interference performance.
Advantages:
 high reliability; high-energy interference resistance; no output 
overvoltage phenomenon; wide input voltage range; good overload 
performance (strong overload capacity of ferromagnetic components); can 
be made into high-power power supply equipment.
Disadvantages:
 bulky, consumes a lot of copper and iron materials, so the price is 
high; the consistency of mass production is poor (influenced by the core
 material and process); the source power factor is low and the 
efficiency is also low; the load adaptability is poor (influenced by the
 nature of the load) Voltage regulation accuracy); poor frequency effect
 (ferromagnetic resonance is very sensitive to source frequency 
changes); large output voltage distortion, output voltage and input 
voltage have a phase shift (due to the non-linearity of the iron core); 
the temperature rises, the noise is large (the iron core saturation, 
large leakage inductance). Automatic voltage regulator, suitable for 
departments that do not require response time.
Advantages:
 wide input voltage range (using the characteristics of long brush 
stroke); the output voltage waveform is the same as the input voltage 
waveform, and the phase is the same; the whole machine has high 
efficiency (the loss of the self-operating voltage regulator is small, 
and the general efficiency is more than 95); The load has good 
adaptability; it is easy to manufacture, low cost and cheap; it can be 
made into a high-power compensation power supply.
Disadvantages: Short working life (due to brush wear); long response time (slow action due to mechanical transmission).
Purification type voltage stabilizer, suitable for units with high requirements for anti-interference function.
Advantages:
 good anti-interference performance; high voltage regulation accuracy 
(better than ±1); short response time, that is, fast response speed 
(40-6Oms); simple circuit and reliable operation.
Disadvantages: with
 nonlinear loads (computers, etc.) sometimes there is low frequency 
oscillation; the input side current distortion is large, the source 
power factor is low; the output power supply has a phase shift to the 
input voltage.
Compensated voltage stabilizer, suitable for making power voltage stabilizers that do not require high load properties.
Advantages:
 fast response speed (because power tube is used as switching device); 
can be made into a high-power model; output voltage distortion is small 
(no additional distortion in the machine); high efficiency.
Disadvantages: The power semiconductor devices in the machine may fail, affecting the reliability of the power supply equipment.
