It has more than 100 enterprises above designated size, and related industries have exceeded 100 billion yuan, forming a relatively complete artificial intelligence industry chain from basic support, core technology to industry application. Moreover, Jinan has rich artificial intelligence application scenarios. Jinan has 55 colleges and universities, nearly 800,000 college students, 866 R&D institutions of various enterprises, and 120 academician and expert workstations; It has many national public services such as the National Information and Communication International Innovation Park and the National Supercomputing Jinan Center, providing strong support for the development of the artificial intelligence industry. Last month, Jinan was successfully approved to establish a national pilot zone for artificial intelligence innovation and application, which provides a powerful engine and new opportunities for us to accelerate the development of the artificial intelligence industry.
Zhu Xiumei, deputy director of the Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, expressed her affirmation of the artificial intelligence work in Shandong and Jinan in her speech. She said that in recent years, Shandong Province has vigorously supported the artificial intelligence industry, taken the lead in proposing the establishment of a "modern advantageous industrial cluster + artificial intelligence" promotion mechanism and issued relevant policy documents, forming an artificial intelligence industry system with Shandong characteristics, actively exploring in the fields of intelligent manufacturing, smart home, intelligent robots, etc., and achieved remarkable results. It is hoped that Shandong Province, Jinan City and other places will make full use of their own foundation and characteristics to further accelerate the development and application of artificial intelligence industry. Subsequently, Ji Peide and Liang Zhenjiang took the stage to unveil the Jinan New Kinetic Energy Artificial Intelligence Venture Capital Partnership (Limited Partnership). According to Gao Hua, the relevant person in charge of the fund, the total size of the fund is 100 million yuan, and the duration of the fund is set to 10 years, of which the first 8 years are the investment period and the last 2 years are the liquidation period, and the method of circular investment is adopted, and the principal recovered from the investment exit during the investment period can be recycled into new projects. The investment direction of the fund is to focus on the field of artificial intelligence, and will focus on core technologies such as intelligent software and hardware, as well as the specific application of artificial intelligence technology in related fields. The development stage of the enterprises invested by the fund is mainly early and mid-stage projects, which has some characteristics of angel investment. "There are both seed-stage projects and projects that have developed to a certain scale, and many of them are in line with the fund's investment strategy. We hope to be able to conduct in-depth docking with the excellent projects participating in the competition, and promote a number of projects to settle and develop in Jinan through investment cooperation. Gao Hua said.
