In the first quarter of 2018, 210.9 billion kwh of inter provincial trading electricity was completed, with a year-on-year increase of 21%; Wind power, solar energy and other new energy provinces sent 18.9 billion kwh of electricity, a year-on-year increase of 65%. This set of data comes from the power market transaction information conference of Beijing Power Trading Center in the first quarter of 2018 held on April 25. At the meeting, the trading information of power market in the first quarter of 2018 was released, and the power supply and demand situation was introduced.
In the first quarter of 2018, Beijing electric power trading center actively implemented the national energy strategy and sent high-quality energy from large energy bases in northwest, northeast and southwest to load centers in North China, East China and central China through UHV AC and DC power grids, so as to promote the large-scale optimal allocation of energy resources. In the first quarter, the inter provincial trading electricity completed 210.9 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 21%. Among them, the trading power of inter provincial market was 67.4 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 60%, accounting for 32% of the trading power of inter provincial market.
Beijing electric power trading center gives full play to the advantages of large power grid, coordinates the intra provincial and inter provincial markets, and enriches new energy trading varieties. Promote the delivery of new energy through measures such as northwest to central and East China, northwest new energy trading with Jiangxi pumping and storage power station, northeast to Shandong power direct trading, etc. In the first quarter, 18.9 billion kwh of new energy such as wind power and solar energy were transmitted between provinces, a year-on-year increase of 65%. The amount of abandoned wind and light in the operation area of State Grid Corporation of China decreased by 53% and 32% respectively year-on-year, and the rate of abandoned wind and light decreased by 11.2 and 6.1 percentage points respectively year-on-year.
